We are recruiting administrative professionals for positions across the Newfoundland and Labrador Region. If you wish to join our team of administrative professionals at DFO, please submit your application!

Intent of the process

This inventory will be used to staff administrative positions within Fisheries and Oceans Canada and the Canadian Coast Guard with employment tenures and work locations that will vary depending on the needs of the positions being staffed. This process may be used to staff similar or lower level positions.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education:
Successful completion of secondary school or employer-approved alternatives

Degree equivalency

Experience:
• Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

• Experience in providing administrative services in an office environment

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Qualifications:

Education:

Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Office Administration, Business Administration or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed

Degree equivalency

Experience:

• Experience working with the Public Service of Canada

• Experience coordinating travel in a work environment, including preparing and/or verifying travel claims

• Experience providing human resources services and support

• Experience with data entry or data extraction using an information management system

• Experience providing financial administration services

• Experience in maintaining electronic and hard copy file systems

Rates of pay:
CR-04: $47,729 - $51,518 per year
CR-05: $52,162 - $56,471 per year
AS-01: $51,538 - $57,643 per year
