Duties

Administration of personnel security screening, security clearances, aftercare* and access control privileges on behalf of OSFI for assigned office locations across the country; and provision of assigned administrative services.

*Aftercare practices are aimed at providing confidence in an individual's continued reliability and loyalty. Aftercare comprises formal, planned security briefings; security awareness; updates and upgrades; and the reporting of changes in circumstances, unusual contact or incidents.

Intent of the process

This selection process will be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles and requirements, security profiles, various tenures and locations (either Toronto or Ottawa). We therefore encourage all interested candidates to apply regardless of their current bilingual capacity or preferred location of work.

EDUCATION
- Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial and/or territorial standards.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
- Experience in conducting personnel security screening and clearance activities within the Government of Canada.
- Experience in creating and providing ID card and access control services.
- Experience in security file management (both hard and electronic copy).
- Experience in providing security administrative support.
- Experience in using the MS suite of products (e.g Word, Excel, Outlook and Visio).
- Experience in using a tracking system for work activities (e.g. service requests).
- Experience in researching, analyzing and summarizing information from various sources.

ASSET EXPERIENCE
- Experience in conducting subject interviews within the Government of Canada.
- Experience in delivering security awareness presentations.

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act
(FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
