Do you want to be at the forefront of forest science? Join the dynamic team of the Laurentian Forestry Center (LFC). With some 125 employees, including 27 researchers, LFC is one of five research centers of the Canadian Forest Service of Natural Resources Canada. A pool of (fully or partially qualified) candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions at the PC-04 group and level within Natural Resources Canada with various tenures (determinate period or permanent etc.), various language requirements (English Essential, French Essential, English or French Essential, or Bilingual), linguistic requirements (imperative and/or non-imperative) and profile(s) (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC, etc.), various security requirements (Reliability status or Secret clearance), various conditions of employment and for various locations.

EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in forestry, biology, geography, computer science, physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.
EXPERIENCES:
- Experience in planning and managing complex projects* or programs supporting scientific activities.
- Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations to senior management (director and supervisor levels) or clients.
- Experience in maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders as a representative of an organization (such as a department, research institute, or other organization).
- Experience in managing human and financial resources.
* By "complex project" we mean, a project (1) where the problems to solve are open, involve a great novelty and generate inevitable paradoxes, (2) where the entries are numerous, interact with each other and create difficultly predictable dynamics, and (3) where there is a high degree of social interactions.
