Intent of the process

A pool of partially qualified candidates will be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Public Service and Procurement Canada. The pool of partially qualified candidates may also be open to other Government Departments. These positions may be of different tenures. Please note that deployments at level may be considered to staff any available positions at any point during the selection process.

Positions to be staffed are the following : 3 Senior Advisor positions, 2 Solutions Architect positions and 2 Manager positions.

A covering letter in 1,500 words (maximum) "Within the maximum of words (3 pages), this document needs to contain specific situational examples (Specify when and where). Applicants are responsible for clearly demonstrating how they meet the essential and asset education and experience qualifications."

ESSENTIAL MERIT CRITERIA

EDUCATION (for both streams)
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES (stream 1)
• Significant experience as a Solutions Architect

EXPERIENCES (stream 2)
• Significant experience solving technical Information Technology or engineering problems
