EDUCATION :
Diploma from a post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the work to be performed.
EXPERIENCE :
Significant* and recent** experience in reviewing and assessing complex proposals such as business or procurement plans or economic development proposals.
Significant* and recent** experience in providing economic and/or business advice to stakeholders and or other government organizations.
Significant* and recent** experience in providing advice and recommendations to senior management (such as directors and above) through correspondence, briefings and/or reports.
DEFINITIONS :
*Significant experience is understood to mean the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities which are normally acquired over a minimum full-time period of (2) years. The amount, the complexity and the diversity of activities, as well as the autonomy level will be taken into consideration.
**Recent experience is defined as experience acquired within the last (5) years.

KNOWLEDGE :
Knowledge of the Government of Canada’s priorities addressing Indigenous issues, including how the Government of Canada is working to advance reconciliation and renew a nation-to-nation relationship with Indigenous peoples, based on recognition of rights, respect, cooperation and partnership.
Knowledge to assess business Indigenous participation in procurement planning and/or economic development proposals.
Knowledge of Indigenous Services Canada/ Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada’s economic development programs supporting Indigenous organizations, communities and businesses.
ABILITIES :
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate effectively orally.
Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to work effectively independently and with others.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION :
University degree in business, administration, economics and other related fields, or an acceptable combination of a university degree and significant experience.
EXPERIENCE :
Experience in engaging stakeholders on advancing Indigenous interest in emerging economic/procurement /business development opportunities.
Experience working with Indigenous communities, businesses and economic development organizations to implement economic development programs.
CURRENT AND/OR FUTURE ORGANIZATIONAL NEEDS :

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :
Willingness and ability to travel occasionally (including remote locations).
