Intent of the process

This is an inventory of candidates to staff similar AS-04 positions within the Receiver General and Pension Branch of Public Service and Procurement Canada, located in Ottawa (Ontario). This inventory could also be used to staff similar positions within the Public Service.

Employees of the federal public service may be considered for deployments, assignments, secondments or actings.

This inventory may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or casual basis with various linguistic profiles, tenures and locations.

** Please note that you are registering into an inventory, not applying for a specific position.

** Since this is an inventory to staff various AS-04 positions, the statement of merit criteria (required qualifications) could vary for each position. When a position becomes available, candidates will be pulled from the inventory to be assessed based on the required qualifications. Asset qualifications could be deemed as essential depending on the position being staffed. The final statement of merit criteria will be shared with individuals who are deemed to meet the initial screening criteria.

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience related to the position.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:
E1. Experience in planning, organizing, and managing multiple projects or programs.
E2. Experience in preparing and developing various types of processes and/or procedures.
E3. Experience in providing recommendations on complex problems.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
AE1. Experience coordinating the printing and distribution of communication products.
AE2. Experience conducting quality control of various documentations.
AE3. Experience working on matters related to billing and payment processes.
AE4. Experience in financial management in the Federal Government.
AE5. Experience in procurement.
AE6. Experience supervising staff.
AE7. Experience in leading a team.
AE8. Experience in providing Information Management services, advice, support and guidance to clients or management.
AE9. Experience in planning, coordinating and/or implementing announcements or events.
AE10. Recent experience in applying Information Management (IM) legislation, policy instruments, practices or tools.
AE11. Experience in the development and delivery of presentations, awareness sessions or training to employees.
AE12. Experience as an advanced user* of an Information Management or Records Management systems such as GCDOCs.

*advanced user is defined as a user with specialized roles and responsibilities that are above and beyond that of a simple user of the system. Advanced use can include examples including: the administration of the system, creation of electronic file structures, client support, business unit support (e.g. champion or super user), ensuring compliance with information policies and procedures, quality assurance and quality control functions and / or creating or providing system training. Simple uses would include basic experience such as logging in, uploading documents, searching, and or retrieving documents from the system.

References may be done: You must provide the name, title, telephone number and email address of two (2) potential referees who have been your direct superior/supervisor during your professional relationship. Furthermore, they must have worked with you for a timeframe of at least six consecutive months within the last three years. The name of your current supervisor must be included, even if the supervision period is less than 6 months. Please also provide a third name if the period of supervision for recent supervisor was less than 6 months.

All written and verbal communication obtained throughout the selection process, from the time of application to close of process, may be used to evaluate the candidate.
