In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics AND experience related to positions in the Financial Management Group.

OR

Eligibility for a recognized professional accounting designation for Chartered Professional Accountant (CGA, CMA or CA).

Degree equivalency

Recent experience* in budgeting, financial planning and analysis.
Experience in providing strategic financial advice to managers and/or clients.

*Recent experience is defined as the depth and breadth of experience that would normally be acquired over a period of one (1) year, within the past five (5) years.

Knowledge of Indigenous Services Canada’s priorities and mandate.
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
Knowledge of the Federal Government Annual Financial Cycle.

Ability to plan, organize, prioritize and meet tight timelines.

Possession of recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA,CGA or CMA).

Experience in using SAP financial system and/or other Government of Canada financial system.

Experience in Aboriginal Financial Management ( Certificate Aboriginal Financial Management).
