Duties

The position is to be part of a team responsible for the provision of support and facilities services including: mail and courier, office supplies, acquisition /disposal of furniture and equipment, telecommunications, ergonomic assessments, health and safety and office moves.

Intent of the process

The intention of the process is to staff one (1) position for a term of approximately one and a half years.

This selection process may be used to establish a pool of partially qualified and/or qualified candidates which could be used to staff similar positions at the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions.

EDUCATION:
- Successful completion of secondary school according to provincial or territorial standards

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in providing advice and support to clients to resolve teleconference, audio visual, and facilities issues
- Experience in monitoring standards and guidelines in asset, property or facilities management
- Experience preparing and revising construction/floor plans in an office environment
- Experience monitoring project budgets
- Experience in file management (both hard copy and electronic)

ASSET EDUCATION:
- Successful completion of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Administration, Purchasing, Project Management, or in a field related to the position to be staffed

Degree equivalency

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in business continuity, disaster recovery, or contingency planning for a department or agency within the Government of Canada
- Experience in using Shared Travel Services (STS)

As a Separate Agency, the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) appoints employees in accordance with the Public Service Employment Act (PSEA). OSFI is named in Schedule V of the Financial Administration Act (FAA) and it offers the same pension and benefits plans as the core Federal Public Service. In addition to this, OSFI employees obtain a minimum of 4 weeks of vacation leave per year, earn a competitive salary, and are eligible for an annual performance bonus.
