The Department of National Defence (DND) is currently seeking three Senior Project Engineers – Contaminated Sites with various linguistic profiles (English essential, Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB).

EDUCATION:
ED01: Graduation with a degree** from a recognized post-secondary institution in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, electrical engineering, aeronautical engineering, geological engineering, naval architecture or some other engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.

**Unless it is otherwise specified (e.g., Master’s degree), the term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate as established by educational authorities.
EXPERIENCE:
EN-ENG-04:
EX01: Significant* experience conducting environmental site assessments and environmental site remediation.
EN-ENG-05:
EX01: Significant* experience conducting and/or managing environmental site assessments and environmental site remediation.
Note:
*Significant experience conducting and/or managing refers to the depth and breadth of the experience (i.e., scope and degree of experience, exposure to various activities or complex difficulties) normally acquired with at least 3 years (EN-ENG-04) and 5 years (EN-ENG-05) of relevant work experience.
EN-ENG-04 and EN-ENG-05:
EX02: Experience collaborating with federal and/or provincial and/or territorial regulatory authorities responsible for the environment.
EX03: Experience preparing and/or reviewing written correspondence as it relates to contaminated sites, which may include but is not limited to: Scopes of Work, Requests for Proposal, project synopsis reports and/or technical reports.
EX04: Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams.
EX05: Experience managing consultant teams and/or contractors.
EDUCATION:
AED01: Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute.
EXPERIENCE:
AEX01: Experience conducting significant field activities in support of environmental site assessment and environmental site remediation.
AEX02: Experience conducting and/or managing Unexploded Explosive Ordnance (UXO) surveys and/or UXO clearance operations.
AEX03: Experience using geospatial technologies to improve environmental remediation.
AEX04: Experience assessing the quality of geospatial deliverables.
AEX05: Experience conducting environmental site assessment and environmental site remediation in the North.
AEX06: Experience with military munitions, explosives and/or explosive risk assessment
