Candidates must clearly demonstrate in the screening questionnaire how they meet the education and experience criteria listed in the Essential Qualifications and Asset Qualifications if applicable. The immediate need is to staff one position on an indeterminate basis, with a linguistic profile of English Essential and an RCMP Secret security clearance.
A pool of candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within the RCMP in the National Capital Region on an indeterminate or specified period (including term, acting) basis, with various linguistic profiles and various RCMP security clearances.
Should a Civilian Member (CM) be found qualified and selected for appointment, the appointment will not result in a change of status to the Public Service (PS) category for the CM. Notification regarding the CM appointment will be sent to all applicable candidates who are within the area of selection and participated in the advertised process.

A secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives
-*Recent experience in providing tactical training to law enforcement or military personnel
-*Recent experience in the tactical instruction / facilitation of firearms including pistol, and either carbine or precision long-range rifles
-*Recent experience operationally in at least 3 or more of the following tactical fields: sniper/precision marksman, close-quarter battle, mechanical/ballistic/explosive breaching, special reconnaissance/rural surveillance, marine operations, aircraft intervention, range safety officer (including steel), combat casualty care, close protection, high angle/rappel operations
*Recent experience is defined as an experience acquired in the last 5 years
Possess instructor-level qualifications in any of the following fields: tactical shooting, sniper/precision marksman, close-quarter battle, mechanical/ballistic/explosive breaching, special reconnaissance/rural surveillance, marine operations, aircraft intervention, range safety officer (including steel), combat casualty care, close protection, high angle/rappel operations.

-Must be willing and able to perform a variety of physically demanding tasks including job simulation exercises that may involve full equipment that can be in excess of 50 lbs. and performed in adverse climatic conditions
