• The intent of the process is to staff eight (8) positions;
- Program Advisor
- Program Consultant
- Consultant
- Program Officer.
• A pool of partially or fully qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff future positions with various tenures (indeterminate, determinate, deployment, acting, and assignment/secondment) with similar requirements, various language requirements and profiles (Bilingual Imperative BBB/BBB, English or French Essential) and various security requirements, depending on the position being staffed.

Education
• A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
EX1- Experience in collaborating with internal or external partners or stakeholders;
EX2- Experience in researching, compiling, and analyzing background information for use in meetings and for preparation of reports and correspondence.
EX3- Experience in drafting correspondence for senior management* or writing proposals.
* Senior management is defined as those who provide senior leadership in a particular area of expertise for an organization (i.e. executive-, director-, upper-level leadership).

Education
• Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
Experience
AEX1- Experience in providing advice or recommendations to management on the delivery of services, projects and programs.
AEX2- Experience in delivering grants and contributions programs.

A variety of assessment tools may be used in the assessment of candidates, such as: online written test / situational exercise, performance appraisals, informal interview, reference checks, and/or assessment board member personal/direct knowledge of candidates’ qualifications. Some assessment tools may be administered electronically, others, in-person.
Volume management strategies could be applied at any stage of the process to identify which applications will be given further consideration, for example asset qualifications, top-down and/or random selection.
Candidates must provide proof of their education during the assessment phase. Original diplomas, degrees or certified transcripts may be required and must be presented upon request. Failure to produce required documents will result in your application not being considered. If you went to school outside of Canada, you must have your certificates and/or diplomas assessed against Canadian education standards. If you are required to travel for any of the assessment phases, travel costs will be at your own expense. As much as possible, we will embrace technology to reduce the need for travel.
Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
