A pool of qualified candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions within Information Management Services Branch of Correctional Service of Canada across Canada with various linguistic profiles and/or requirements, various security clearance levels as well as various tenures (indeterminate, specified period, deployment, acting, secondment, assignment) according to the position being staffed.

EDUCATION
(All Streams)
Successful completion of a two (2) year of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed; or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience relevant to the position.
Note: Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE
(Stream A, B, & C)
Recent* experience assessing how changing business needs affects existing systems and preparing impact assessment and recommendation documents.
Recent* and Significant** experience in the domain of Information Management and Information Technology (IM/IT).
Recent* experience participating on multi-disciplinary teams or committees.
(Stream A &C)
Experience in working on a Project Team, developing concepts or providing strategic input.
(Stream A)
Recent* and significant** experience in one or more of the following areas for the development or testing or operational support of multi-tier applications, web-based applications or mobile applications:
• working with IM/IT cross functional teams
• leading IM/IT technical groups
• liaising with business clients
Experience in providing strategic advice and recommendations on IM/IT topics and trends to ***management.

Significant** experience supporting workplace technology devices such as personal and mobile computing devices and peripherals.
Recent* experience overseeing the development and implementation of standard processes, procedures, or support documentation in IT operational environment.

Recent* experience in the Information Technology Security field in at least TWO of the following areas:
• Conducting Threat and Risk Assessment on department-wide applications or infrastructure.
• Developing security architecture and security designs for departmental-wide systems.
• Performing IT Security Certification on department-wide applications.
• Developing the IT Continuity program for department-wide systems.
• Applying software/system engineering practices in the design, testing and implementation of software/hardware solutions. (e.g. requirements management, configuration management, quality assurance, documentation)
• Developing and providing consultative advice on IT related policy.
• IT Security incident handling and forensics
• IT Security training and awareness
(Stream D)
Significant** experience in analyzing business requirements for IM/IT projects or services or developing technical solutions to meet business needs.
Recent* and significant** experience providing strategic advice and recommendations on IM/IT topics to management***.
* Recent experience is defined as experience normally gained within the last five (5) years (Streams A, B & D)/three (3) years (Streams C).
** Significant experience is defined as experience that was a core part of the applicant’s employment for a period of three (3) years (Streams A, B & D)/five (5) years or more (Stream C).
*** Management is defined as being at the CS-04, CS-05, EX-01 level and above or equivalent (managers or directors)
EDUCATION:
Post-secondary Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized post-secondary institution in computer sciences, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.
Certification : Professional Information Technology Security certification (e.g. Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Business Continuity Planner (CBCP)). Or/and Information Technology Security Accreditation (e.g. Certified Information Security Manager, Secure System Design (SSD) of CST, Certified Information System Auditor (CISA).
Project Management Institute certification (PMP) or similar certification.
Certification in TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework).
Certifications relevant to information technology such as Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), A+, Networking +, MSCE, Agile, Database Administration, Project Management.

EXPERIENCE
Experience in developing applications using .NET and/or MEAN stack (Mongo, Express, Angular, Node).
Experience developing dynamic web applications using at least 3 of the following: CSS, HTML, XML, ASP, C#, JavaScript, JSON, PHP, SOAP, REST, JSP.
Experience performing identity and access management using Active Directory.
Experience in developing mobile applications (Android or Ionic cross-platform frameworks).
Experience with open source tools and repositories.
