GCworkplace is transforming the experience of working for the Government of Canada (GC). Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is leading this transformation initiative to create modern workplaces that will support the Blueprint 2020 vision of a world-class public service equipped to serve Canada and Canadians now and into the future. In addition to supporting client departments in undertaking their workplace modernization projects, PSPC is piloting GCcoworking. GCcoworking is a project that aims to offer shared general purpose office space for GC employees in the National Capital Area (NCA).
So, what is GCcoworking?
• GCcoworking is establishing Government of Canada coworking sites in each node of the NCA and one per national region.
• We are creating common GC workplaces where GC employees may work as an alternative to their homes or to their usual central workplace locations, or as a touchdown point between meetings.
• GCcoworking locations are accessible GC workplaces which meet the security, workplace safety, ergonomic and telecommunication requirements of employees and programs for enhanced employee flexibility and mobility.
• GCcoworking locations are spaces where employees will form connections which may lead to new partnerships and new ideas.
What is the position?
We are looking for individuals who can inspire and motivate GCcoworking users, drive collaboration and build a sense of community. An on-site host, the coPro (Coworking Professional), will play a key role in the success of GCcoworking. The coPro will assist site users with administrative requests, will provide regular reports to management, will host events and will monitor the site to ensure it is being used to its fullest potential, among other duties.
The coPro:
•Is an ambassador of the GCworkplace vision
•Provides on-site communications
•Reports on utilization
•Reports on user's experience
•Is technical support
•Is a health and safety officer and a first-aider
A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada with various tenures such as term or indeterminate appointments. The pool can be used to staff positions in Gatineau and Ottawa with Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC linguistic profile and Reliability Status security requirement.

EDUCATION:
A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and/or experience.
EXPERIENCE:
Experience in providing client service.
Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Bilingual - Imperative (CBC/CBC)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:
Valid First Aid / CPR Certification
Experience in providing administrative support services.
Experience in overseeing and following up on security procedures.

Experience in preparing various type of reports.
Experience in providing advice and guidance.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Be willing and able to render First Aid, if necessary.
Be willing and able to work overtime, sometimes on short notice.
Reliability Status security clearance
Be willing and able to work flexible hours during the normal workday (between 7AM and 6PM).
