Education
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in statistics or biostatistics.

Experience

Common to all streams:
Experience in the collection, review and analysis of scientific literature related to health
Experience in writing reports including statistical data related to health
Experience using at least one of the following software: SAS, R

For Senior Bio-Statistician Stream:
Experience in compiling, analyzing and interpreting health data

For Senior Bio-Statistician - Specialization in Statistical Genetics Stream:
Experience in compiling, analyzing and interpreting genomics data

NOTES FOR EXPERIENCE
“Experience” means a minimum of five (5) years (post-doc and/or employment)

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education

Ph.D. from a recognized university in a specialization relevant to the duties of the position such as statistics, genetics, probability or mathematics.

Peer-reviewed publication in the field of Food Research, Statistical Research related to Health or Statistical Genetics.

Experience working with national nutrition survey data or conducting risk assessments
Experience using the National Cancer Institute (NCI) method to evaluate usual intakes

Extensive Experience in compiling, analyzing and interpreting health data

For Senior Bio-Statistician - Specialization in Statistical Genetics Stream:
Extensive Experience in compiling, analyzing and interpreting genomics data

“Extensive Experience” means a minimum of seven (7) years (post-doc and/or employment)
“Experience” means for approximately three (3) years (post-doc and/or employment)
