EDUCATION
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in economics, sociology or statistics.
NOTE :
1. Candidates must always have a degree. The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and may have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
2. A specialization is deemed to be two (2) full** (or four (4) half**) courses in either one of the specialized areas: Economics OR Sociology OR Statistics.
** Please note that a half course is defined as a course that has a duration of one semester (for example: September – December) and a full course is defined as a course that has a duration of a full academic year (for example: September – April).
EXPERIENCE
All Streams: EC-02 and EC-03
EX1: Experience* in analyzing and synthesizing information.
EX2: Experience* in conducting research using various sources.
Stream 1: EC-02
EX3: Experience* in preparing reports, research papers, briefing notes, presentations, or Q&A’s, etc.
Stream 2: EC-03
EX4: Significant** experience in preparing reports, research papers, briefing notes, presentations, scenario notes, or Q&A’s, etc in order to brief a supervisor*** of research and/or analysis of findings.
*Experience may have been acquired as either part of an academic project or in a work setting.
** Significant experience is defined as continuous work experience normally corresponding to the performance of full-time work for at least one (1) year.
***Supervisor is defined as a higher level authority figure.
