You will be working in a large team providing Organization and Classification services to managers. The RCMP "E" Division Human Resources Branch consists of teams dedicated to Public Service Staffing, Classification, Labour Relations, Regular and Civilian Member Recruiting, Career Development & Resourcing and other similar fields, so there are plenty of future growth opportunities within the branch.

Intent of the process

The results of this process will be used to staff one indeterminate HR Advisor position at the PE-01, PE-02 or PE-03 group/level. A pool of qualified candidates may be created and may be used to fill current and future permanent and temporary vacancies.

Once established, the qualified pool will be valid for a period of one year and may be extended.

Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in human resources management, labour or industrial relations, psychology, public or business administration, organizational development, education sciences, social sciences, sociology, or in any other field relevant to the work to be performed OR an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Note: Indeterminate incumbents of PE positions and of positions in the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions and in Indian Oil and Gas Canada that are equivalent to PE positions on October 1, 1999, who do not possess the education level prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standard based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing PE positions and positions in the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions and Indian Oil and Gas Canada that are equivalent to PE positions. This note also applies to persons appointed or deployed, for an indeterminate period, to PE positions after that date as the result of staffing transactions started before October 1, 1999. The program is an integrated, competency-based career development framework, designed to hire participants at the junior level and, after fulfilling training and development requirements, appoint them to the working level (PE-03). Program duration will vary for each participant depending on the individual’s state of professional development, their performance, and the learning and development required for their respective discipline.
