Assessment accommodation

1. All competencies may be assessed throughout the entire process (the answers you will provide to the screening questions, exchanges and emails).

2. Please note there are four (4) streams (Categories of positions) with different educational requirements.

Intent of the process

A pool of qualified or partially qualified candidates may be created to staff similar positions with various tenures (indeterminate, deployment, specified period, assignment, secondment), various security requirements and various language profiles. By default and in the interest of the greater public service, pools created as a result of collective staffing processes at ISED will be shared with other government departments.

EDUCATION
Stream 1:
- Graduation with a *degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Law or Public Administration OR any other university degree combined with work experience** relevant to the position.

*Degree: A baccalaureate or higher level degree, as established by educational authorities, unless the type of credential is specified in the relevant Qualification Standard

**The work experience must have been obtained in one of the following fields: Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Law or Public Administration.

Stream 2:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Law or Public Administration OR any other university degree combined with work experience* relevant to the position or completion of post-secondary diploma, in a field related to the position (eg. commerce, business administration, electronics technology) or an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training.

*The work experience must have been obtained in one of the following fields: Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Finance, Law, electronics technology or Public Administration.

Note 2. Acceptable experience and/or training in a field relevant to positions in the CO classification is required when the education qualification specified for the position being staffed is a secondary school diploma or employer-approved alternatives.

Stream 3:
- Graduation with a *degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Accounting, Business Administration, Commerce, Economics, Communication, Marketing, Finance, Law or Public Administration OR any other university degree combined with work experience** relevant to the position.

Stream 4:
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized university in Law (LL.B., J.D. or LL.L)
