Intent of the process

The immediate intent of this poster is to fill one (1) position.

A pool of qualified or partially assessed candidates may be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements (English Essential or Bilingual Imperative), various security requirements, various conditions of employment as well as various tenures (acting, assignment/secondment, deployment, term and/or indeterminate) within Crown-Indigenous Relations and Northern Affairs Canada and Indigenous Services Canada.

EDUCATION
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in nursing, nursing service administration, nursing education or some other specialization in nursing.

Degree equivalency

OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION
Current registration as a Registered Nurse in a province or territory of Canada.

EXPERIENCE
Experience leading the development, implementation or evaluation of health programs.
Experience in developing partnerships with First Nations and Inuit and/or health service leaders
Experience reviewing, analyzing and summarizing best practices for practical use in nursing and/or other relevant public health context
Experience in working within a multi-disciplinary team

EDUCATION
Postgraduate degree in Nursing, Public Health, Health Administration or other graduate level education relevant to the position

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
Experience providing expert nursing advice to management and/or First Nation or Inuit communities
Experience in specialized areas such as:
• Public health
• Psychiatric-mental health
• Maternal-child health
• Chronic diseases
• Palliative care
• Communicable disease control
• Health Emergency Management preparation, planning and response
• E-Health
Experience in the management and allocation of human, financial and material resources
Experience with electronic medical records or public health information systems.
