EDUCATION:
Graduation from a recognized college, technical school or post-secondary institution in a field related to science (e.g. physics, chemistry, electrical, electronics, mechanical, instrumentation technology, metrology).
EXPERIENCE:
Recent* and significant** experience in working in a calibration or testing laboratory operating under a quality management system.
*Recent means in the last 5 years
**Significant experience refers to a minimum of 18 months
KNOWLEDGE
K1: Knowledge of ISO 17025, General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.
K2: Knowledge of ISO 19011, Guidelines for quality and/or environmental management systems auditing.
K3: Knowledge of Measurement Canada’s mandate, priorities, roles and responsibilities.
ABILITIES:
A1: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely orally.
A2: Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing.
A3: Ability to systematically analyze problems, identify key issues and draw logical conclusions.
A4: Ability to set objectives and take the necessary measures to achieve them.
A5: Ability to work under pressure.

EDUCATION - ASSET:
EA1: Graduation from a recognized university in a field related to science (e.g. physics, chemistry, electrical, electronics, mechanical, instrumentation technology)
EA2: Training and certification in Quality Assurance and or Quality System auditing
EXPERIENCE - ASSET :
EA1: Experience developing, implementing and or auditing quality management systems based on ISO 17025.
EA2: Experience in assuming Quality Management responsibilities in the context of a quality system.
EA3: Experience in leading or guiding people and working as part of a team
EA4: Experience in project management
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Occasional travel
