Intent of the process

This is an inventory of candidates to staff similar AS-03 positions within the Receiver General and Pension Branch of Public Service and Procurement Canada, located in Ottawa (Ontario). This inventory could also be used to staff similar positions within the Public Service.

Employees of the federal public service may be considered for deployments, assignments, secondments or actings.

This inventory may be used to staff similar positions on an indeterminate, term or casual basis with various linguistic profiles, tenures and locations.

** Please note that you are registering into an inventory, not applying for a specific position.

** Since this is an inventory to staff various AS-03 positions, the statement of merit criteria (required qualifications) could vary for each position. When a position becomes available, candidates will be pulled from the inventory to be assessed based on the required qualifications. Asset qualifications could be deemed as essential depending on the position being staffed. The final statement of merit criteria will be shared with individuals who are deemed to meet the initial screening criteria.

1. Experience in auditing a variety of files and transactions.
2. Experience using various techniques and approaches of quality assurance.
3. Experience in support services in Human resources.
4. Experience in support services in Finance.
5. Experience in the administration of Compensation or benefits and/ or using pay or benefits software.
6. Experience in the development of compensation products.
7. Experience working with the Penfax System
8. Experience working with the Siebel System.
9. Experience in pension administration for the Federal Public Services (Example: Canadian Forces / Royal Canadian Mounted Police / Federal Judges).
10. Experience in the preparation, and presentation of documents and/or reports.
11. Experience in developing reports and or briefing notes intended for management.
12. Experience in providing advice and recommendations to clients and/or stakeholders.
13. Experience in software testing.
14. Experience in writing test cases and/or use cases.
15. Experience in data correction and data analysis.
16. Experience in developing complex Excel spreadsheets.
17. Experience reviewing, interpreting and applying policies, procedures or legislation.
18. Experience working with pension plan legislation.
19. Experience working with group insurance policies and legislation.
20. Experience in tracking and maintaining incoming and outgoing documents.
21. Experience developing and maintaining a system to classify, store and facilitate the retrieval of records/documents.
22. Experience conducting independent research or collecting information from a variety of sources, and summarizing findings and making recommendations as a result of assessing the operational requirements in information management.
23. Experience in interpreting and administering IM related policies and directives.
24. Experience in the design and delivery of IM training or awareness sessions.
25. Experience working with Gcdocs or Open Text.

Conditions of employment

Reliability Status security clearance - - The normal workday shall be seven decimal five (7.5) consecutive hours, during the hours of operations which are between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Eastern time.
- Willing and able to work irregular and /or rotational hours in order to support the operations of the Center.
- Rotation to different sections within the Pension Centre is a condition of employment for this position.
- Be willing and able to work overtime on short notice.
- Be willing and able to travel occasionally.
