Education:
ED1 - Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Notes:

Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing position in the CS group.
2. It is the recognized educational institution (e.g. community college, CÉGEP or university) that determines if the courses taken by a candidate correspond to two years of a post-secondary program at the institution.

EX1 - Recent experience leading ‘agile’ or rapid information solution design and delivery.

EX3 - Recent experience collecting, analyzing and presenting data from multiple sources to support the decision making process of management.
EX4 - Recent experience providing advice to Senior Management.
EX5 - Recent experience in a work environment related to Information technology (IT).

POSITION 2: Technical Advisor, IT Business Line Support Services
EX1 - Recent experience providing advice to management on IT issues.
EX2 - Recent and significant experience working with the business developing business requirements for IT solutions.
EX3 - Recent experience in providing technical solution alternatives and recommendations after gathering requirements and business needs from discussion with business representatives.
EX4 - Recent experience providing technical advice, guidance or assistance to client organizations on IT capabilities, requirements and plans in order to support the achievement of departmental objectives and foster innovative service delivery.

POSITION 3: Technical Advisor, Application Management
EX1 - Recent and significant experience in delivering IM/IT products and services using defined methodologies and best practices.
EX2 - Recent and significant experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams to develop complex IM/IT solutions to meet business needs.
EX3 - Recent and significant experience in gathering and analyzing business and technical requirements and providing technical advice to various stakeholders in the delivery of complex IM/IT applications.
EX4 - Recent and significant experience in providing application development services in the delivery of IM/IT applications for a minimum of two (2) of the following services:

INSTRUCTIONS
When recording your examples, be sure you:
• Provide concrete, specific examples of actions that speak directly to the experience sought.
• Choose examples with sufficient complexity, impact and degree of difficulty that will allow you to illustrate to what extent and depth you have shown the behaviours expected for each qualification.

• Use action verbs when describing your experience i.e. lead, managed, organized, planned, prepared, informed, determined, etc.

• Each example must include when the example took place, background of each situation, what you did, how you did it, what your role was in the situation, and what was the outcome.
