The Creative Services team at Transport Canada (TC) is dedicated to delivering high quality visual communications products, including graphic and video content, for clients across the department. The team is divided into two streams: one handles graphic design; the other focuses on video and photography.
In this role, you may be asked to take on work like:
● Advising on creative concepts for visual communications products, including video, graphics, animation, print media, and/or infographics;
● Providing graphic design or video production services for clients across the department;
● Following the principles of digital by default by producing engaging and informative graphic and video elements and shareables for social media and the web;
● Overseeing compliance of visual communications products with Transport Canada and Government of Canada policies and requirements, including branding;
● Collaborating within the team to produce high-quality visual communications products; and
● Advising on the best visual communications products, distribution methods, and channels to meet specific needs and to reach target audiences.

EDUCATION
A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in graphic design, multimedia, video production or a similar field related to the position.

EXPERIENCE
- Recent* experience in designing and producing visual communications products for a variety of media and audiences.
- Recent* experience in all stages of graphic design and/or video production from initiation and planning through to conception and completion**.
- Experience working in a Mac environment using the Adobe Creative Suite for the production of graphics or video.
- Experience in producing or adapting visual communications products for use on the web and in social media.
- Experience in providing advice to supervisors and/or management on visual communications.
- Experience in working from a creative brief or script.
* Recent experience is defined as experience acquired in the last two (2) years.
** The need for experience in video production, graphic design or both will be determined at the time of appointment according to the requirements of the position that is to be filled.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
