Work environment

The Maurice Lamontagne Institute, a Fisheries and Oceans Canada research centre, is located at 850 Route de la Mer in Mont-Joli (Quebec), along the St. Lawrence Estuary. The Institute is about 15 km from downtown Mont-Joli city and halfway between Rimouski and Matane, two cities located at about 40 km from Mont-Joli. The Institute is housed on the Pointe aux Cenelles, an enchanting site on which walking trails have been developed. The seaside is also accessible. On site, a 250-seat auditorium, various meeting rooms, a cafeteria, a training room and changing rooms with showers are available. During the summer, a soccer field is also available. In addition, the Social Club of employees offers a programming of activities according to the seasons.

Intent of the process

As a result of this process, a pool of candidates will be created to fill various positions on a temporary and/or permanent basis. This selection process is intended to staff positions offered only at the Maurice-Lamontagne Institute in Mont-Joli (Quebec). Therefore, if you are appointed as a result of this process, you will have to move to this location.

EDUCATION
A Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of experience, training and/or education.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES
Experience in providing administrative support services (for example: data entry and verification, clerical support, client services support, use of accounting systems, etc.);
Experience using the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Outlook/or an equivalent message system).
