We are looking for skilled and experienced Disability Management Advisors, so we will be focusing mainly on the experience and competencies you bring to the table. To apply:

Duties

Key responsibilities include assisting and guiding employees and managers with the departmental Disability Management Program. The Program aims to facilitate the access to a range of services that enable employees to receive the required support and benefit entitlements.

Intent of the process

The intent of this selection process is to staff one (1) position on an indeterminate basis. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions whose duration may vary within Public Service and Procurement Canada.

* Should the selected candidate already be a public servant, the pool could also be used for acting appointments.

EDUCATION:
Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

EXP1 - Experience in case management related to employee injury, illness, return to work, disability or accommodation in the workplace.

EXP2 - Experience in providing advice to employees, managers, clients or stakeholders related to injury, illness, return to work, disability or accommodation in the workplace.

EXP3 - Experience in facilitating discussions with stakeholders or clients.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:
Diploma from a recognized postsecondary institution in human resources or other field related to the position to be staffed (nursing, kinesiology, occupational therapy, social work, etc.).

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCES:

AEXP1 - Experience in specialized disability services such adaptive technology, claims adjudication, work reintegration or vocational rehabilitation.
AEXP2 - Experience in activities or projects related to accessibility, inclusion, diversity or employment equity.
AEXP3 - Experience in delivering training, awareness or workshops.

6. We’re renovating! In the coming months, the Portage III complex will be temporarily vacated for extensive renovations. Employees will be moved to temporary office space locations in downtown Ottawa (L'Esplanade Laurier at 140 O’Connor Street). The moves will begin in 2019 and once the project nears completion, employees will be moved back to the newly renovated Portage III complex. The renewal of the Portage III complex is slated to create a world-class headquarters for PSPC. The modernized campus will feature the latest in greening solutions and will integrate a broad spectrum of design elements intended to improve employee wellness, and reflect a more modern way of working.

Preference

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
