In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION
Successful completion of two (2) years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialization relevant to the position being staffed OR at the manager’s discretion, an acceptable combination* of education, training and/or experience.

*The acceptable combination is defined as having a secondary school diploma in addition to a minimum of five (5) years of experience in Information Technology (IT) and is actively in process of completing an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

NOTES:
1. Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group. The candidate MUST identify on his or her application if he or she is grandfathered, as such.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE
- Minimum of 8 years cumulative experience in the field of IM/IT.
- Extensive* experience providing Application Development and Support services to clients.
- Recent** and Significant** experience in the analysis of stakeholder needs to document IM/IT requirements.
- Recent** and Significant** experience in contributing to the development of IT-related documents at the level of, but not restricted to, business cases, cost or effort estimates, project plans, project schedules, or procedures.
- Experience in leading a team including assigning and coordinating the work of technical staff or contractors.
- Experience in leading an IM/IT project or having been responsible for a key deliverable throughout the project or initiative.
- Experience providing strategic advice and recommendations on IM/IT issues to management (CS-04 Level or equivalent or above).

Extensive* is defined as the breadth and depth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities over a period of at least 5 years.
Recent** is defined experience within the last 5 years.
Significant** is defined as the breadth and depth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities over a period of at least 3 years.

EDUCATION (ASSET)
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in computer science, engineering, information technology, information management, business administration or any other field related to the positions to be staffed.
- Having obtained one or more of the following certifications:
• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Certification.
• Recognized project management certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2.
• Business Analysis certification from IIBA endorsed program.
• Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) Certification.
• Certification in organization change management such as PROSCI or APMG.
• Certification or a diploma in IT or Cyber Security.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE (ASSET)
- Experience in planning, developing and managing IT projects using a formal project management methodology.
- Experience in planning, developing and managing IT projects using Agile Scrum.
- Experience in the development of statements of work or requests for proposals for professional services.
- Experience providing support to the management of business transformation initiatives in the Government of Canada.
- Recent and Significant** experience in developing the technical design of an initiative including the analysis of stakeholder needs to document requirements.
- Experience in selecting, installing or configuring Commercial off the Shelf (Software) (COTS).

Recent** is defined experience within the last 5 years.
Significant** is defined as the breadth and depth of experience associated with having performed a broad range of various, complex related activities over a period of at least 3 years.
