Stream 2 (Senior Communications Advisor) is at the IS 05 group and level.

This strategic and collaborative long-term infrastructure plan will build economically vibrant, strategically planned, sustainable and inclusive communities. Infrastructure Canada works closely with all orders of government and other partners to enable investments in social, green, public transit and other core public infrastructure, as well as trade and transportation infrastructure.
A pool of qualified candidates (fully assessed or partially assessed) will be established and may be used to staff similar positions at this group and level with various language requirements.

EDUCATION
ED1: A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.
NOTE:
1. Based on their education, training and/or experience, indeterminate incumbents of positions in the IS classification are deemed to meet the minimum education standard whenever a bachelor's degree without specialization is called for in a position classified as IS.
2. At the manager's discretion, an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience, may serve as an alternative to the minimum education standard.
EXPERIENCE
ALL STREAMS
EX1: Recent* experience in communications or journalism in a government, not for profit or private sector environment.
EX2: Recent* experience in developing communication products, which could include: news releases, backgrounders, questions and answers, key messages, media lines, social media and digital content (including graphics and video).
EX3: Recent* experience supporting complex files that require consulting, negotiating and collaborating with clients.
EX4: Recent* experience providing communications advice and support to management.
STREAM 2 ONLY
EX5: Recent* experience developing communications plans or strategies to support programs, services, or organizational objectives.
EX6: Recent* experience providing communications advice and support to senior management on complex files.
EX7: Experience in overseeing large, multi-stage projects.
Recent* experience can be defined as a minimum of two (2) complete years in the past three (3) years.
