We are accepting applications until December 19, 2019 to create an inventory of qualified candidates. However, you should apply now! Applications will be pulled as positions are identified for staffing.
Should the inventory be extended, the retest period for re-assessment within the context of this selection process is 180 calendar days from the date of elimination at either the prescreening, the written exam, interview, or reference stage of the process. If, after having been eliminated, you resubmit an application to this process, before the retest period has elapsed, your application will not be considered.
The inventory will be updated every 45 days. The first pull and review of applications will be done on January 20, 2019.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION
Continuing Airworthiness: Investigate and resolve in-service airworthiness problems, working with affected manufacturers and foreign authorities. Determine if problems present an unsafe condition using engineering analysis and risk analysis, determine if the corrective action proposed by the manufacturer adequately mitigates the safety risk and draft Airworthiness Directives to mandate the corrective action or formulating non-mandatory corrective actions as appropriate

This process is intended to create and maintain an inventory to staff English essential positions on an indeterminate or term basis. These positions require a secrete security clearance but this factor is not used at the pre-selection stage. The hiring department is responsible for the security clearance process. EDUCATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in an engineering specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
OR
OCCUPATIONAL CERTIFICATION:
Eligibility for certification as a professional engineer in Canada with specialization in an engineering specialty relevant to the position.

EXPERIENCE
Significant* experience in the design, development, testing, certification, in-service support or airworthiness of aeronautical products.
*Significant is defined as having 5 or more years of engineering experience whilst progressively acquiring increased responsibilities related to engineering in the aerospace industry.

EXPERIENCE
