This selection process will be used to staff one position indeterminately in Ottawa.

A pool of fully or partially qualified candidates resulting from this selection process may be created and may be used to fill the same or similar positions within the Canadian Conservation Institute.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

- Certificate or diploma from a recognized professional institution with an acceptable specialization in multimedia, animation, interactive multimedia, design, or some other specialty relevant to the position or an acceptable combination of education, training or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

- Experience in providing multimedia production services, such as audio, video, graphics or text in a digital environment.

- Experience with software applications such as After Effect, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, or other similar applications.

- Experience in conceptualizing and developing storyboards.

- Experience in setting up and operating a variety of production equipment such as edit suite, digital cameras, sound booth, microphones, or voice recorders.

- Experience in producing closed captioning and transcripts for multimedia products.

- Experience in posting videos to social media channels such as YouTube and Facebook.

- Knowledge of Policy on Communications and Federal Identity of the Government of Canada.

ABILITIES

- Ability to produce videos for the web and social media.

- Ability to produce storyboards.

- Ability to use digital cameras and sound recording devices, as well as editing software.

- Ability to communicate effectively orally.

- Ability to communicate effectively in writing.

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

- Experience in translating, converting and exporting file formats into finished products.

- Experience in editing videos to ensure specifications are met.

- Experience in producing, reviewing and editing content for brand voice, style and consistency.

- Experience in performing operational and production duties associated with digital media and video technologies.

- Experience in creating text/images involving print, multimedia and internet communication mediums.

OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

- Willing and able to work overtime occasionally on short notice and during busy periods.
