WHO ARE WE?
The Public Service Commission (PSC) is responsible for promoting and safeguarding a merit-based, representative and non-partisan public service that serves all Canadians.
The PSC is small federal organization of approximately 800 employees. But don’t let our size fool you, our mandate and our work spans nearly all of the public service and we report independently to Parliament.
Working in a smaller organizations also has its perks. Because of our size, new employees are integrated more quickly, are soon familiar with their work unit, and have all supports such as IT close at hand. Our flatter organizational structure means you will have more time with senior management providing you with a greater opportunity to understand our business as a whole and to see where you fit in.
Our employees enjoy work-life balance and a modern work environment that even offers active work stations. Never heard of an active work station? They allow our employees to work while walking on a treadmill or pedaling on a stationary bike.
WHERE ARE WE?
The PSC is located right in Gatineau on 22 Eddy Street, and our chic new building can easily be accessed by car, bike, and bus. Our modern building provides employees with an indoor parking garage, bike cage, showers, and change rooms (in order to accommodate those who have a more active lifestyle).
WHO IS RIGHT FOR THESE JOBS?
If you are a leader who thrives on learning and who can bring out the best in people. If you like working with people from diverse backgrounds and believe in making a difference by serving Canadians, then we may be for you.
