Intent of the process

The intent of this process is to staff one indeterminate position and a pool of qualified candidates will be established to staff future vacancies with various tenures.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Successful completion of an acceptable two-year, post-secondary education program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

NOTE: Indeterminate incumbents of CS positions on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education described above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in developing, testing and maintaining Microsoft CRM applications connecting to Microsoft SQL Server.

Experience in developing, delivering and/or supporting IM/IT solutions using defined methodologies and best practices.

Experience in analyzing business/client requirements; providing advice, options and/or recommendations in the definition, development and/or implementation of IM/IT solutions.

Experience in providing support to IM/IT activities/projects for multiple clients, prioritizing workload and/or meeting deadlines in a multi-tasking environment.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Asset Qualifications:

Certification(s) in any of the following:
- I.S.P
- MSC (Microsoft Certified. Any)
- Oracle and/or SQL

Experience programming in one or more of the following: .Net, ASP, ASP.net, SQL, VB .Net, VB, VBA, VB Script, CSS, HTML, or XML.
Experience architecting a major software program
Experience with SharePoint.
Experience in Adxstudio portal.

Knowledge of Government of Canada IM/IT policies, guidelines, and strategies.
Knowledge of current and emerging IMT technologies, industry trends and best practices (such as ITIL, PMBOK or others).
Knowledge of software development life cycle methodologies.
Knowledge of Team Foundation Server
Knowledge of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS)
Knowledge of Microsoft InfoPath.
