The Commissioner of Canada Elections (CCE) plays an important role in safeguarding Canadians’ trust in the democratic process. The CCE is the independent officer responsible for ensuring compliance with, and enforcement of, the Canada Elections Act and the Referendum Act. The Commissioner is supported by approximately 30 people, including federal public servants and independent contractors. The Commissioner's offices are located at 22 Eddy Street in Gatineau, Quebec.
The immediate need is to staff one (1) position for a specific period of three (3) years. A pool of qualified candidates may be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions (various tenures and various language profiles) at the Office of the Commissioner of Canada Elections and the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer (Elections Canada). All positions to be staffed are bilingual imperative (BBB/BBB, CBC/CBC, CCC/CCC).

Your résumé.
Education:
- A degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with a specialization in communications, marketing, or a specialty related to communications or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience:
- Experience developing communications products for at least two of the following: proactive or reactive social media messages, digital advertising, video scripts, web pages, presentations, infographics or briefing notes.
- Experience providing communications advice to clients or management.
- Experience responding to enquiries or inbound questions from any of the following: general public; internal stakeholders; or, external stakeholders.
Asset Qualifications - Experience:
- Experience developing communications plans in support of the delivery of social media communications programs or strategies.
- Experience using social media tools, such as HootSuite Enterprise, for producing reports or analyses on social media account performance, trends or activities.
- Experience developing designs for digital communications products such as (but not limited to): gifs, infographics, e-newsletters, graphics for social media, or videos.
