WHAT YOU COULD BE DOING?
At Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, General Labourer's work in a variety of areas including:
Ground Maintenance
Facilities Maintenance
Animal science
Crop science
Soil science
Environmental science
Food science
General maintenance

BUT WHAT WILL YOU REALLY BE DOING?
You will be assigned tasks in different areas such as field-based activities, facilities maintenance, greenhouse work, or handling and caring of livestock. This can include driving, using and maintaining farm equipment, collecting and entering data, and more!

Intent of the process

This inventory may be used fill full-time temporary, permanent and seasonal General Labourer (GL) positions at various levels for locations across Canada. Positions with supervisory duties are also eligible for a supervisory salary differential.

►Experience in the operation and maintenance of agricultural/farm related equipment.
►Experience working with crops.

►Experience working in a mechanical shop.
►Experience in groundskeeping.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT...

►When General Labourer positions become available, candidates will be matched based on experience, education, and interest in work location.
►Candidates matched with an opportunity will be invited to a phone interview where we will assess two competencies (Concern for safety and Teamwork), and asked to elaborate on their experience.
► Candidates that pass the interview and have the required experience may be further assessed by the hiring manager.
