Shared Services Canada (SSC) is mandated to secure Government of Canada Information Technology infrastructure, assets and data. To accomplish this mission, SSC deploys and manages sophisticated advanced Cyber and IT security technologies, solutions and services. SSC is currently recruiting dynamic and cutting-edge professionals to protect Canada's cyberspace including data protection, infrastructure and application security, and identity management. EDUCATION:
EDU: Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in information management/ information technology (IM/IT) or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
E1. Significant* experience managing or leading multi-disciplinary teams in IT.
E2. Significant* experience leading or contributing to a complex*** project, initiative or activity, or supporting and delivering IM/IT Service.
E3. Recent** experience in the management of human or financial resources.
E4. Recent** experience providing strategic advice and recommendations to Senior management on complex*** issues.
DEFINITIONS:
* "Significant" means 3 or more years of combined experience.
** "Recent" means in the last five years.
*** "Complex projects / issues are with at least two (2) of the following characteristics: multidimensional, sensitive, confidential, affecting many partners or stakeholders, precedent setting, having a major impact on your organization."

ASSET EXPERIENCE:
AE1. Experience in the development and implementation of IT security policies, procedures, and standards based on GC or NIST standards, best practices, and compliance requirements.
AE2. Experience in the design, implementation and support of an enterprise security solution.
AE3. Experience in analyzing information and reports in the Cyber and IT Security Domain.
AE4. Experience in implementing, supporting or testing IT security solutions within multi-zoned data center environments.
AE5. Experience working in IT security in one or more of the following areas:
• IT security vulnerability assessment
• IT Security Assessment and Authorization (SA&A)
• IT security incident management
• IT security risk management
• IT Security Operations
AE6. Experience in contributing to the development and management of an IT security program, including: security awareness, policies, standards, procedures, processes, monitoring, risk management, and activities surrounding the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) of IT infrastructure.
AE7. Experience in the provision of strategic advice and recommendations to management (Director and/or Director General or equivalent)
AE8. Experience supporting security services such as Firewalls, Intrusion Detection, Security Event Management, Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Data Loss prevention, Network Security, Vulnerability Assessment or other related Cyber/IT security services.
AE9. Experience in conducting technical research and analysis of IT Security threats and incidents.
