Information on employment equity

An assignment, secondment, or acting appointment requires approval of your supervisor.

You must provide proof of your education credentials.

Your responses to the application questions must demonstrate how you meet the qualifications. It is NOT sufficient to only state that the qualifications are met or to provide a listing of current or past responsibilities. Rather you must clearly demonstrate HOW, WHEN, and WHERE the qualification was met through substantiation by examples. Information on your described skills, experience, etc. provided in screening questions should be supported by your resume. Failure to provide the above information in the format required may result in your application being rejected from the process. Although the asset qualifications are not mandatory, they may be an important factor that will be considered for specific positions being staffed.

We may appoint candidates by applying one or more of the following criteria:
• Breadth, depth, type of specific asset experience;
• Matching individual experience assets or qualifications to the need of the organization;
• Level/degree of one or more competencies/qualifications.

Candidates who apply to this selection process should include an email address that accepts emails from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email). Should your email address change during the process, it is your responsibility to inform us and to regularly verify your e-mails.

Persons with disabilities preventing them from applying on-line are asked to contact 1-800-645-5605.

Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred official language in their application.

The Correctional Service of Canada is dedicated to supporting inclusive, barrier-free selection processes for all candidates. At any time during a selection process, candidates may request an accommodation to facilitate their assessment in a fair and equitable manner. Information received relating to accommodation measures will be addressed confidentially. Please visit https://www.canada.ca/en/public-service-commission/jobs/services/gc-jobs/information-candidates/accommodations.html for additional information on accommodation in a selection process.
