Intent of the process

DESCRIPTION OF TASKS :

EG-03 Inspector Preventative Maintenance:
This position provides technical inspection, design, structural evaluation + and existing and planned projects for the Real Estate Operations Unit (Quebec). The main responsibilities of the position are to conduct technical inspections and preventive maintenance in accordance with the organization's preventive maintenance program to determine the maintenance needs of buildings, technical installations, equipment and devices as well as to determine and record the state of operability and operation of the infrastructure and its components.

EG-04 Project Officer:
The position provides technical and design support services in the areas of architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and / or electrical engineering for maintenance and construction projects, from conception to completion and construction. The completion of occupants and staff of Canadian Forces Base / Wing buildings and facilities, satellite sites and accommodation units throughout DND.

EG-04 Architectural Technologist:
The position provides technical support services in the areas of architectural and project planning and maintenance and construction requirements to occupants of Canadian Forces Base / Wing buildings and installations. Satellite sites and hosted units throughout DND. It provides technical advice on life cycle management, facilities, process and equipment support, and provides advice on infrastructure, buildings, facilities and related systems for the Department and external clients.

EG-05 Project Manager:
This position is the Senior Technologist who provides expertise in technical and design support services in the areas of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and / or Electrical Engineering to maintenance and construction projects, from design to completion, for occupants and staff of Canadian Forces Base / Wing buildings and installations, satellite sites and accommodation units, in the all of DND. Responsibilities include the provision of design, project management and technical support services related to infrastructure, buildings, facilities and related systems for the department and external clients.

EG-05 Infrastructure Management Technician :
This position provides an information analysis, advisory and reporting service for the planning of infrastructure maintenance activities including road systems, utilities and buildings. manages the maintenance and monitoring of the condition of the infrastructure and its components and subcomponents on behalf of the Real Estate Operations Department at the Department of National Defense.

EG-06 Multi-Disciplinary Project Manager:
This position is the lead project manager who manages the design and implementation of multi-disciplinary construction projects on a base or wing in the areas of architecture, civil engineering, mechanical engineering and / or electrical engineering. Responsibilities include engineering services, project management, technical and life cycle management, facilities, process and equipment support, and infrastructure, building, related facilities and systems for the Department and external clients.

EG-06 Planning Officer:
The position provides infrastructure maintenance planning and its component and subcomponent services and infrastructure capacity development on behalf of the Department of National Defense's Real Property Operations Department. The responsibilities are to analyze and study all the infrastructures in order to have an overall vision to determine the medium and long term impacts, while establishing the order of priorities for refurbishment projects.

Preference will be given to veterans and to Canadian citizens, in that order, with the exception of a job located in Nunavut, where Nunavut Inuit will be appointed first.
