Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff one (1) position in the Atlantic Region (Moncton, NB) on an indeterminate basis.

A pool of qualified candidates may be created and used to staff identical or similar EX-01 positions with different tenures (Acting, Indeterminate, Term) and various linguistic profile (Bilingual imperative CBC/CBC; English Essential). The Labour Program has regional offices in Moncton, NB; Montreal, QC; Toronto, ON; Winnipeg, MB and Vancouver, BC.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

Education :
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution.

Degree equivalency

Experience :
1) Recent and significant* experience in managing operations or programs.
*Recent is defined as within the last three (3) years and significant experience is understood to mean
the depth and breadth of the experience normally acquired over a period of at least 2 years.
2) Experience in the provision of strategic advice, options and briefing material to senior
management** on complex*** issues.
**Senior management is defined as Director (EX-01) level or higher.
***Complex is defined as multi-dimensional, involving many stakeholders with competing
requirements and with inherent and emerging risks, sensitivities and impacts requiring a holistic approach to decision-making.
3)Experience in developing partnerships with other federal departments and crown corporations,
provincial and/or territorial governments, private industry, unions and/or labour organizations.
4) Experience in managing human and financial resources****.
****Experience in managing human and financial resources is defined as experience acquired through a normal fiscal cycle or by managing a project. Please indicate the number of employees you supervised directly or indirectly and the size of budget for which you were directly or indirectly responsible
