Information on employment equity

PLEASE TAKE THE TIME to read the following information carefully as it may have an impact on the outcome of your application.

Public Service Entrance Exam - Test of Judgement Unsupervised Internet Test 374 (TOJ UIT 374) may be administered

Public Service Entrance Exam (PSEE) – Test of Judgement 375 (TOJ 375) may be administered.

The unsupervised internet Test of Judgement (UIT 374) results are not transferable from one process to another. Therefore, in order to apply to this process, you have to write the UIT 374 again.

Will I receive my test score? Scores are provided only for supervised tests. Unsupervised tests are more vulnerable to security breaches when test scores are provided to test takers. Consequently, pursuant to Section 22 of The Access to Information Act, UIT test scores are not provided because to do so would threaten the validity and continued use of the test.

If you pass the UIT 374 and are invited to write the supervised version of the test, then you may choose to reuse your existing supervised PSEE 375 test result or take the test again (assuming the re-test period of 180 days has expired). Note that only your previous result on the PSEE 375 will be accepted.

The pass marks for this process for the PSEE 375 is 3545/4000

If you choose to retake the PSEE 375, the new result will replace the previous result, whether your score is higher or not.

To obtain a copy of your previous results, use the following link: Confirmation of Previous Test Result

A top down selection may be used during any phases of the selection process.

A written examination may be administered.

An interview may be administered.

Reference checks may be sought.

You will need to provide proof of your education.

You must present your proof of Canadian citizenship.

Candidates may be expected to meet, in whole or in part, the criteria related to the Assets, Operational Requirements and Organizational Needs, depending on the position being staffed.

Travel expenses for testing and interviews will NOT be reimbursed.

Persons are entitled to participate in the appointment process in the official language of their choice. Applicants are asked to indicate their preferred official language in their application.

Asset qualifications may be applied at any phase of the process.

The organization will accept on-line applications only. All job applications must therefore be submitted through the Public Service Resourcing System (jobs.gc.ca).

E-mail correspondence will be used as the main method of communication with candidates for this selection process for screening and assessment (including issuing results and sending invitations for written test and interview). Please note that the onus is on the candidates to provide valid contact information and to update it, if required.

Acknowledgment of receipt of applications will not be sent; we will contact candidates when the screening process is completed.

The Public Service of Canada is also committed to developing inclusive, barrier-free selection processes and work environments. If contacted in relation to a job opportunity or testing, you should advise the Public Service Commission or the departmental official in a timely fashion of the accommodation measures which must be taken to enable you to be assessed in a fair and equitable manner. Information received relating to accommodation measures will be addressed confidentially.
