The Public Prosecution Service of Canada is looking for people like you to join the Access to Information and Privacy Office. We offer the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging files "ripped from the headlines," with all the advantages of working for a small department in a great downtown location.
As the ATIP Officer and a member of the team, you will:
• Learn how we protect the privacy of individuals and how Canadians can access information about the Government of Canada.
• Gain first-hand insight into how a government program operates.
• Get to know the criminal law justice system.
• Develop your analytical and research skills.
• Support and collaborate with your colleagues.
• Communicate directly with the public as well as senior officials within the organization.
• Help us improve, plan, and carry out new policies.
Becoming an ATIP Officer is a rewarding career path in the federal public service. As the ATIP Officer at the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, you will have room to grow within your role and plenty of learning opportunities to help you build a strong foundation.
The immediate need is to staff one (1) indeterminate position. A pool of qualified candidates may be established from this process and may be used to staff similar positions.

Education
- A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience
- Experience analyzing and synthesizing information from various sources.
- Experience in providing guidance and/or recommendations.
- Experience in preparing correspondence or reports.
Asset Qualification - Education
- Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a field relevant to the position.
Asset Qualifications - Experience
- Experience in the interpretation and application of legislation or policies.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of the Access to Information Act and the Privacy Act.
- Experience working in a legal environment.
