Duties

Fisheries and Oceans Canada is looking for people to joint the PeopleSoft Transaction Centre of Expertise. The team is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of the data entered in the departmental human resources management system and providing timely support to its clientele.

This position requires someone who is focused on providing exceptional client service, is resourceful and has the greatest attention to details. It would be great if you would have prior experience in data entry or data correction in a human resources management system, but it is not a must-have.

Intent of the process

The actual need is for 3 term positions of 1 year, with possibility of extension.

A pool of qualified candidates may be established to staff positions within Fisheries and Oceans across Canada. Tenures, official language requirements and security profiles may vary according to the position being staffed.

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

ED. Secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.

Degree equivalency

EXP1. Experience working in a client service environment.

EXP2. Experience working in a data entry environment.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

AEXP1. Experience in providing human resources support services.

AEXP2. Experience working with a human resources database software.

Tests

PSEE - Test of Judgement UIT

Applicants must complete the Public Service Entrance Exam: Test of Judgement Unsupervised Internet Test as part of the screening for this selection process. This test assesses the judgement required for solving problems in work-related situations. You will have 75 minutes to complete the test. You must complete the test before you submit your application for this position.
