**To staff the position initially on a temporary basis (term up to 6 months or casual) with the possibility of extension.**
A pool of essentially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions within the Department of Public Services and Procurement Canada. These positions may be staffed on temporary basis (term or casual).

A secondary school diploma or employer approved alternatives such as an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Recent and significant experience using computer software programs such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Outlook.
Recent and significant experience in providing accounting related services.
Recent and significant experience using excel spreadsheets including formatting and formulas.
Recent and significant experience in delivering a full range of administrative and financial support services
Recent and extensive is defined as a minimum of 2 years within the last 5 years

Knowledge of office practices (such as correspondence follow-up, procurement transaction initiation and monitoring, planning meetings and administering travel).

Successful completion of one year post-secondary school education in accounting, finance, business administration, commerce or economics.
Experience with the departmental program SIGMA
Experience in purchasing documents and processes in a business support capacity.
Experience using the departmental GCDOCS electronic filing system.
Knowledge of departmental policies and regulations.

Reliability Status security clearance
Willingness to work in an industrial setting (noise, dust, dirt, oil, climb stairs, etc. and around heavy equipment.)
Willingness to wear protective gear such as hard hat and safety boots.
