The intent of this selection process is to create a pool of qualified candidates to staff AS-01 positions within Environment and Climate Change Canada in Montreal, Quebec with various linguistic profiles and/or requirements (such as French essential and/or bilingual imperative BBB/BBB), various security requirements (Reliability, Secret) as well as tenures (Term, Assignment, Secondment, Acting, Indeterminate, Deployment), in order to meet our operational needs.

ED1. A secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training and/or experience.
Experience :
EX1. Significant experience* providing administrative support (e.g. managing the daily agenda and emails, making travel arrangements and managing information) to a director or a manager.
EX2. Significant experience* tracking and managing administrative requests.
*Significant experience is defined as experience acquired over a period of approximately two years or more.

Knowledge:
K1. Knowledge of the National Joint Council Travel Directive.
K2. Knowledge of the principles of financial administration especially sections 32 and 34 of the Financial Administration Act (FAA).

A2. Ability to communicate effectively orally.

Asset Qualifications
Experience:
AEX1. Significant experience* monitoring a budget, verifying financial transactions and producing financial reports, using financial management software or systems such as SAP.
AEX2. Significant experience* using SAP or another accounting software to enter purchase requisitions, administer contract payments and maintain contract records.
AEX3. Significant experience* using HRG travel system.
AEX4. Experience in drafting and proofreading various documents such as meeting minutes, acknowledgement of receipt, notice of meetings, reports, etc.
AEX5. Experience in the inventory and the purchase of supplies, equipment or office services.
*Significant experience is defined as experience acquired over a period of approximately two years or more.
