Intent of the process

A pool of candidates may be created to staff similar or identical positions with various tenure, various bilingual linguistic profiles and security requirements within the Courts Administration Service.

At minimum, successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed or an acceptable combination of training, education, or experience.

Note:
1.Indeterminate period incumbents of positions in the CS group on May 10, 1999, who do not possess the education prescribed above, are deemed to meet the minimum education standards based on their education, training and/or experience. They must be accepted as having met the minimum education standard whenever this standard is called for when staffing positions in the CS group.

Degree equivalency

Significant* and recent** experience providing technical services in at least one of the following areas:
• Application development
• IM/IT projects
• Database administration
• Quality assurance
• IT security
• Infrastructure
• IT support

Significant* and recent** experience using troubleshooting approaches to resolve IT issues.

Recent** experience providing services or advice to clients.

Significant* and recent** experience working or collaborating with others on IT projects or initiatives.
