Duties

- Reviews and analyses claims submitted by applicants to determine the accuracy, eligibility and propriety of costs claimed.

- Liaises with private and public sector applicants and partners to discuss, clarify and resolve anomalies with respect to costs claimed and other related claim issues.

- Produces reports to identify and explain variances between amounts paid by the Crown as a result of audit deletions and adjustments.

- Maintains accounting records for the reporting of program expenditures and commitments.

- Conducts surveys of active projects to provide timely updates of cash flow forecasts.

Intent of the process

A pool may be established as a result of this process and may be used to fill similar positions with various tenures (via Acting, Assignment, Deployment, Indeterminate, Secondment, Specified Period), language requirements and security profiles within the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario in Waterloo, Ontario.

8) In-person candidate assessments will take place in Waterloo, Ontario. Candidates from outside the federal public service will be required to pay for their own travel expenses associated with the assessment phase of this selection process.

9) Top down and/or random selection may be used during any stage of the selection process.

10) For this selection process, our intention is to communicate with the candidates by email. Candidates who apply to this selection process must include a valid email address in their application and make sure that this address is functional at all times and accepts messages from unknown users (some email systems block these types of email).

11) It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure that accurate contact information is provided and updated as required.

12) This process may be used to staff temporary AS-02 vacancies via an acting appointment, assignment or secondment. An assignment/secondment or an acting appointment is a temporary resourcing option. The approval of your substantive supervisor will be required before an offer can be made.
