What would you do?

As a Programmer, you will be given the opportunity to:

- According to the instructions received, design, develop, implement, integrate and update software applications (including reports of simple or average complexity pulling data from information systems).

- Participate in testing and quality assurance activities.

- Assist in the delivery of application support services.

- Participate in the analysis, definition and documentation of customer needs.

Intent of the process

The immediate need is to staff 1 position for twelve (12) to eighteen (18) months. A pool of qualified candidates will be established through this process and will be used to staff identical positions. These positions may be of various tenures, linguistic profiles and security profiles

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

EDUCATION

• Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed, or acceptable *combination of education, training and/or experience.

* Definition of combination of education, training and/or experience :
A candidate who does not meet the minimum education must have at least 2 ½ years of IT related experience. In addition to the 2 ½-years IT related experience requirement, the equivalent to 2 years of valid IT related experience is required for each year of post-secondary studies in IM/IT that the candidate does not have.

Degree equivalency

EXPERIENCE

• Recent* experience in application development with Oracle APEX version 4 and +;
OR
• Recent* experience in web application development with .Net version 3.5 and +.

• Recent* experience in writing SQL queries in an Oracle database environment.

* Recent experience is defined as one (1) year of experience that has been obtained within the last three (3) years.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS

• Recent experience in PL/SQL programming.

• Experience in reports development with Crystal Reports tool.
