The Canada Gazette Directorate is a team of 30 people, comprised of bilingual editors and proofreaders, desktop publishers, administrative and communication officers that are professional and passionate by their work, and dedicated to serving Canadians. The offices are located in a modern work environment situated in the heart of downtown Ottawa. The staff are equipped with the latest technology to perform their daily work.
The Canada Gazette has been the official newspaper of the Government of Canada since 1841. The content that is published in the Canada Gazette differs in each publication. In addition, frequency of issues varies: Part I is published every week, Part II, every second week and Part III is published 2 or 3 times a year.

The intent of the process is to staff a position indeterminately. A pool of partially qualified candidates may be established through this process to staff identical or similar positions with a linguistic profil of Bilingual Imperative CCC/CCC at Public Services and Procurement Canada in the National Capital Region.

EDUCATION:
Degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in translation, linguistics, literature or communications.
EXPERIENCE:
• Significant* and recent** experience in a translation, revision, terminology or interpretation services environment.
• Significant* and recent** experience advising clients on the publication process.
• Experience* planning and managing projects.
*Significant experience is defined as the experience that would normally be acquired by a person performing these duties on a regular basis over a period of approximately two years.
**Recent experience is defined as experience within the last five years.
KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of the Canada Gazette and of the Act and the Regulations that govern it.
• Knowledge of the regulatory process of the Government of Canada.
• Knowledge of service contract development and management.
