The Manager (RE-06) position is part of the Market and Liquidity Risk Division (MLRD) located in Toronto. MLRD is involved in the analysis of federally regulated financial institutions (FRFIs) inherent liquidity risk, market risk, counterparty credit risk, and assessment of associated controls. The successful candidate for Manager (RE-06) will have some responsibility for leading teams and contributing to the leadership and operation of the group.

The Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) is an independent agency of the Government of Canada, established in 1987 to contribute to the safety and soundness of the Canadian financial system. OSFI supervises and regulates federally registered banks and insurers, trust and loan companies, as well as private pension plans subject to federal oversight.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree with specialization in mathematics, commerce, accounting, business, finance, actuarial science, computer science, economics or other relevant filed OR an acceptable combination of education, experience and/or training.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant experience in the financial services industry*, in one or more of the following areas:
o Liquidity risk
o Corporate treasury
o Risk management
o Trading
o Trading management
*Financial services industry experience is defined as experience working in a financial institution, including deposit taking institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, wealth management firms, and accounting firms (dealing with audits), as well as government departments that directly deal with the supervision and regulation of these institutions, or other relevant areas.
