Intent of the process

This process will be used to staff (1) position for a 12 month period while the incumbent is on secondment. In the event that the position becomes vacant, this process may be used to staff the position indeterminately.

Education
Successful completion of two years of an acceptable post-secondary educational program in computer science, information technology, information management, or another specialty relevant to the position to be staffed.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
Experience working with Microsoft Windows Server (2008, 2012), Active Directory and Exchange Server (2010, 2016), including system backup and monitoring.

Experience working with VMware (Horizon View and Vsphere).

Experience diagnosing and solving technical system issues.

If you possess any of the following, your application must also clearly explain how you meet it (other qualifications)

Education
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in Computer Science.

Microsoft Certified Systems Admin (MCSE/MCITP) and ITILv3 Foundation certification.

VMware vSphere (5.5, 6.5) certification.

Degree equivalency

Experience
Experience conducting application layering (e.g. Unidesk, Citrix App Layering).

Experience developing user guides and internal procedures.

Experience with network storage (e.g. Equalogic, NetApp, Synology).

Experience with applications such as Open Text eDOCS, Case Management and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience working with HP LAN products.

Experience in configuration management toolset(s) or technologies.

Knowledge of relational databases and SQL language.
