Information on accommodation for persons with disabilities
The role of this position is to work on behalf of the Common Supervisory Services team of the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions in its interface with the IM/IT and Data Management functions of the Office to identify critical business issues and assist in the development of solutions, both manual and automated. The Business Analyst coordinates the technical resolution of business issues relating to user applications including development of business cases, definition of user requirements, design review, user testing, monitoring ongoing service issues and oversight of maintenance releases.
The immediate intent is to staff 1 Bilingual Imperative CBC/CBC position through this staffing selection process.
This selection process may be used to establish a pool of qualified candidates, which could be used to staff similar or identical positions with various linguistic profiles (English Essential, Bilingual Imperative or Bilingual Non-Imperative), security profiles (reliability or secret) and various tenures (term, indeterminate, assignment, acting and deployment), which may vary according to the position being staffed.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION
● A university degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Mathematics, or any other relevant specialization OR an acceptable combination of education, experience, and/or training.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
● Recent and significant experience working collaboratively with business partners to understand, analyse and articulate user requirements and recommend solutions.
● Recent and significant experience in one or more of the following:
- using structured methodologies for the identification of user requirements and the development of specifications for IM/IT initiatives
- developing business cases, costs and benefits of proposed projects and initiatives
- analysing and documenting business processes
- project management in an IT environment
- working in a client-service environment as a client or relationship manager
- working in an IT customer support function
