EDUCATION:
ED1: Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in Social Science, Graphic Design, Communications or a field within the Environmental Sciences or Studies.
***Candidates who are currently in the process of finalizing their studies must obtain their degree by June 30, 2019***
The term “degree” refers to a baccalaureate or an applied degree as established by educational authorities.
EXPERIENCE:
EX1: Significant* experience communicating environmental science or policy to a public audience, through written presentations, outreach materials, reports and webpages.
EX2: Significant* experience using specialized computer software to design website and printed materials (i.e. Adobe InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop or equivalent) to develop products for a public audience.
EX3: Significant* experience conducting research and recommending new or innovative engagement opportunities or methods to improve client service.
EX4: Significant* experience in planning and participating in the delivery of conferences or projects with partner organizations.
*Significant is defined as the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with having performed these activities over a combined period of at least one (1) year.

K1: Knowledge of techniques to disseminate scientific information to targeted audiences.
K2: Knowledge of Great Lakes environmental issues.
K3: Knowledge of domestic and international agreements governing the Great Lakes.
K4: Knowledge of plans and programs by Environment and Climate Change Canada to address environmental issues in the Great Lakes.

AEX2: Experience administering a website.
OPERATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
