Position is located in Charlottetown, PE - work for this position is required to be performed from the Charlottetown Office.

Information on language requirements

Education:
Graduation with a Master’s degree from a recognized post-secondary institution in a design relevant field.

Degree equivalency

Experience:
- Recent and significant experience in experience design, interaction design, or user research.
- Recent and significant experience working with human-centered design principles, usability and user-experience methodologies and practices.
- Recent and significant experience in research design, development, and management and the interpretation of results to remove complexity from services or products to effectively enhance program performance and delivery.
-Recent and significant experience establishing effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Recent is defined as occurring within the past five years.

Significant is defined by the depth and breadth of experience normally associated with approximately two years full-time.

Experience as a member of the Canadian Armed Forces
Experience in digital content development (e.g. web, social media and other online communications materials), including providing advice to clients or management on layout and functionality
Recent and significant experience in sketching and prototyping design ideas on paper or in code
Experience in interpreting and advising on complex regulations, policies and programs
Experience in leading change within an organization
Experience in managing financial resources
Experience working with Government of Canada web standards
Experience conducting focus groups, consultation sessions, usability testing, or intercept interviews

Operational requirements:
Willingness and ability to travel
Willingness and ability to carry a Departmental Blackberry or cellular device
